He was great at breaking down problems to first principles and Nix concepts to help the rest of the mob understand what was going on. His experience with obscure nix issues, both in flake or non flake contexts, helped us overcome many of the problems we ran into working with older or outdated Nix builders. He also proactively reached out to various collaborators on mastodon and other channels which helped us move forward when it came to upstreaming or using newer builders.
