<h1 style="text-align: center;">The “Beta-Switch” Gambit</h1> <img src="https://media.istockphoto.com/id/2246622524/photo/black-and-white-chess-pieces-on-us-dollar-bills-symbolizing-investment-strategy-market-risk.jpg?s=612x612&w=0&k=20&c=fpJa6S3XjjrHgw1IJubvKNUz4vlNF0QC4V5luf0Hq4E=" alt="" width="900"> A lot of people, I think, are unsure on exactly how to neg a girl in a cocky/funny way – or any way really – and pull it off.  I’ve found, often times, the most solid way to package a neg is in the “hand grenade” fashion, where you just sort of chuck it out there and run without looking back (figuratively speaking – don’t be a huge pussy by actually running away).   Maybe your problem isn’t how to neg, maybe your problem is coming up with negs on the fly.  I know one of the hardest parts of game for me was coming up with a neg on the spot to use on a girl.  You see, you can’t exactly insult her, but you can’t compliment her.  That’s the point.  A neg is a mostly ambiguous statement that will get her thinking.  If her first thoughts or her first words after a compliment are, “what do you mean?” or “was that a compliment?” then you’ve landed in neg territory. Think of negs as sort of underhanded compliments. Her reaction should be, “Aww tha… wait a minute….” <div id="attachment_1095" class="wp-caption aligncenter"> </div> Going back to what I was saying, when I first got into the game I had so much trouble with when/how to neg a girl and before that I had to figure just what the fuck a neg was!  I was constantly asking my <a href="http://theincendiaryinsight.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">game mentor</a> how and when to neg.  Eventually I sat down and figured out this little gem of a trick that will always land you in a perfect neg every single time. Example being, she doesn’t want to get in your car/share a cab to her place, “Okay, let me walk you to your car.” – conceding on a smaller point to help you fulfill a larger agenda (PnV). <div id="attachment_1096" class="wp-caption aligncenter"> </div> <h2>So… “Beta-Switch”?</h2> The “Beta-Switch”, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is a play on the phrase, “bait and switch”.  We all know a bait and switch is when you lure someone in under a pretense, only to change things last minute and lock them into something they didn’t want.  It’s like when you fill out an online survey for a free PS3 and then you start getting calls from telemarketers getting you to buy magazine subscriptions. The “beta-switch” is a gambit that works exactly like a bait and switch con does in real life.  You sacrifice alpha cred in the short run and promise something to the girl and then rapidly exchange the original pretense for a more alpha one later in the interaction.  It sounds complicated, but that’s because I’m shit at explaining things. You initially give up alpha cred in the interaction, you do this to gain a strategic advantage over her – that being, she now thinks you’re a beta pussy like every other guy in the bar – so that when you drop your neg, she will never have seen it coming.  The thing that makes the “beta-switch” so beautifully engineered, however, comes in the delivery of the actual switch line.  No matter what you say, or how you use it, the switch line will always be a perfect neg.  No matter what. <h2>How It Works</h2> Okay, so lets get to the meat of this thing!  The “beta-switch” is pretty straightforward and I’m positive you’ve figured it out by now.  It can be used as an opener to a set, mid set, or anywhere else you feel you need a good neg/intro/subject changer/anything.  You start by giving a misleading beta statement; she will then take the bait and fall for your trap, at which point you slap her across the face with your balls – metaphorically speaking. Examples of bait statements: <ul> <li>“Tell me, what sort of drink does a beautiful girl like you prefer?”</li> <li>“You have an amazing look…”</li> </ul> She is going to respond favorably to these statements and hope to draw you in as an orbiter so that you can proceed to buy her drinks for the rest of the night.  At this point, you pull out your switch statement which is going to be a perfect neg.  The reason its going to such a perfect neg is because your switch statement will always be the exact opposite of your bait statement.  You want to follow up with a comment that completely negates your initial comment. Examples of bait and switch statements: <ul> <li>“Tell me, what sort of drink does a beautiful girl like you prefer?” Gin and tonic “That sounds great! You can buy me one of those.”</li> <li>“You have an amazing look…” Thank you “You must shop at thrift stores.”</li> </ul> Bam!  Every time.  The great part about this is most of you probably know how to do stuff like this already.  Its a simple lead them on with a sincere statement and then follow it up with sarcasm type thing.  Its great because its very simple to figure out, usually comes very naturally, and will keep you negging and teasing a girl with consistency and accuracy. Go give it a shot!  It’s easy to figure out and it always works.
